Justine R. Scaccia, DVM, is a Specialty Intern in Veterinary Medicine and Emergency at WestVet Boise, where she has been a part of the team since 2023.

Dr. Scaccia attended the University of Montana where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Montana State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology. She then earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Washington State University.

Dr. Scaccia has a special interest in shelter medicine and clinical pathology Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is helping clients care for their family members.

When away from the hospital, she is passionate about all things outdoors especially backpacking, hiking, and camping, She loves trying new things and wants to travel more, scuba dive, and eat new foods.
