Chris Bailey, DVM, is the Medical Director and an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at WestVet Idaho Falls, where he has been a member of the team since 2019.

Dr. Bailey was born and raised in the flat lands of Michigan. He always knew he wanted to be an emergency veterinarian, but it wasn’t until his last year of veterinary school at the Michigan State College of Veterinary Medicine in East Lansing, MI, that he knew the northwest would be his home. While driving west for a clinical rotation, he saw mountains for the first time and immediately fell in love. Prior to joining WestVet Idaho Falls, Dr. Bailey worked at several of the largest emergency and critical care facilities in Washington and Oregon.

Dr. Bailey has a special interest in transfusion medicine, complex internal medicine cases, and soft tissue surgery. When not at the hospital, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his dogs, whether mountain biking, rock climbing, backpacking, or trail running.
