Andrew Carter, DVM, is a Specialty Intern in Veterinary Medicine and Emergency at WestVet Boise, where he has been a part of the team since 2023.

Dr. Carter attended Oklahoma State University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science. He then earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Oklahoma State University.

Dr. Carter has a special interest in surgery.   His favorite part of veterinary medicine is problem-solving and helping the body recover from injury and/or disease.

When away from the hospital, he enjoys exploring the outdoors, hiking, backpacking, and landscape photography.
