Here on our website, you may read about the talented veterinarians and veterinary specialists who work with us at WestVet, but we are unable to list all of the other amazing support staff members. There are numerous Veterinary Technicians, Client Care Specialists, Assistants, and Administrators who work together to help WestVet be successful– and who are literally the elite of veterinary medicine.

One of our staff members recently received some accolades we wanted to share. Pam Knowles, WestVet Patient Care DirectorPam Knowles, Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT), Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS), Emergency and Critical Care (ECC), and one of two WestVet Patient Care Directors manage a staff of 40 technicians and assistants was listed as co-author for a professional publication, The 2013 AAHA/AAFP Fluid Therapy Guidelines for Dogs and Cat.

You can read the full article HERE. The article addresses the importance of stabilizing fluid levels in patients suffering from a wide variety of veterinary illnesses or disorder.

Pictured above in red, Pam was leading a tour of the WestVet hospital for a local Girl Scout Troop. She has a true passion for emergency medicine and has worked in the ER throughout her career.  One of her primary career goals is the training and education of our up and coming technicians, she enjoys training and mentoring new staff and often provides Continuing Education seminars to the technicians in her community. She also teaches American Heart Association CPR/First Aid courses for pet owners.

We feel very fortunate to have her working with us at WestVet.
