WestVet held its annual Appreciation Picnic last weekend. As a thank you for the veterinary referrals to our specialists, we invite veterinary professionals from around southwest Idaho to join us at Zoo Boise for a private event. It’s a real treat to be at the Zoo after hours, enjoy food, ice cream, and music, and see the wonderful animal enclosures and habitats that Zoo Boise has created.
This year we had our biggest turnout to date! In addition, we invited several of our business partners to co-sponsor different guest activities and to offer giveaways, coupons, and handouts for our guests– and our experiment was a smashing success.
MWI provided $5 Zoo Bucks gifts certificates to the children who attended with us, this enabled our guests to purchase additional treats and/or souvenir from the gift shop. They were a huge hit!
Ladd’s Family Pharmacy rented the kid’s carousel for the entire event. That meant our guests were able to enjoy unlimited rides throughout the party—lots of fun!
PetsPage.com, a new way to get online and social with your pet, generously donated the face painting and farm food. Karen Bostick, founder, and CEO was on hand giving out bags, pens, and other memorabilia as Borah High Choir students provided free face painting in exchange for a monetary donation to their Choir Booster Club for their upcoming school trips and events.
Medical Imaging and Washington Trust Bank teamed up to sponsor the bar for our adult beverages (catered by Raedean’s) and Pets Best Insurance sponsored the water and lemonade stand.
It was a terrific event! We had more than 600 veterinary professionals attend with us.
As a veterinary specialty hospital, WestVet partners with local veterinary practices to provide specialty and advanced treatments for pets. After the procedures and treatments are complete, our patients see their family veterinarian for their yearly appointments and general care. This partnership enables our veterinary partners in the valley to expand their services and offer the very best care to their clients. We thank them for their support and referrals! See you next year at the Zoo!
