PATIENT CARE

At WestVet Emergency and Specialty Center, maintaining the highest level of patient care standards is our first priority.

We understand that your pets are family and deserve the same standard of health care you would expect for any other family member. We wish to provide your pets with the care and attention that they deserve. In order to effectively diagnose and treat each patient, it may be necessary for our doctors to spend extended time with patients that have more complicated problems. Please be assured that your pet will receive this same special attention when needed.

Your pet will be closely monitored 24 hours a day by our highly trained veterinary technicians, doctors, and board certified specialists.

Each hospitalized pet is placed in a spacious cage or kennel that is well padded with thick, soft blankets. Your pet will be assigned a nursing technician who will monitor vital signs frequently throughout the day and ensure that feedings, cleanings, treatments, and walkings are maintained according to the doctor's instructions.

In addition, we strive to keep all patients as comfortable as possible by using the most modern pain management techniques available. If your pet needs additional warmth, WestVet has warm air circulating blankets that are placed in the cage and tucked comfortably around the patient.
